The Swift Fox is an endangered
prairie species that was extinct in Canada until efforts to reintroduce them
began in 1972. With help from caring groups, the Swift Fox now has
a small but hopefully self-sustaining population, and is striving to compete
against larger predators in a constantly changing environment.
The cat-sized Swift Fox is quick and
agile and once got most of its food by scavenging wolf and bear kills. As wolves
and grizzly bears have disappeared from the Great Plains, coyotes have taken
their place, putting the Swift Fox in direct competition with the much-larger
coyote. The Swift Fox is a protected species, and concerned groups are helping
to monitor and sustain the small breeding population.
We want to help you compete against larger predators in a changing global
environment, and keep you from going extinct! The speed, creativity and passion of
SMALL groups can give them an exciting edge over larger
organizations, and if you blend this with really strong management ideas, small organizations can
do great things. For BIG businesses, non-profits and governments, they need even
stronger management ideas, and
need to recapture the fun, agility and humanity that allow small groups to fly.
